    Default I've Got the Blues

I worked over the Clauss, Carbo-Magnetic and the Blue Steel , polished up the blades and did them up in a variety of blue acrylic that I made. And since I had some left over I made a matching brush for the Blue Steel. I call in Blue Ice on Blue Steel just for fun

As always, beautiful work. I love the watery look of the second set of scales. Thank you for sharing.

It's interesting Randy you picked up on this. I had been reading about blue ice in the polar caps. I actually call this "Blue Ice on Blue Steel" Kinda' sorta has that look I thought.

    Great Work!

When you get to shaving with the Carbo Magnetic please either let the thread know how it shave or send me a PM as I just cleaned up a Carbo Magnetic 9/16 with a muted square point that was in the box that it was purchased in. It didn't need any sanding just a little cleaning to make it look brand new and it really shaves nice! It was an heirloom but unfortunately it's going to be sold instead of staying in the family!

    Again, Great Work! Very impressive!

Thank you Cudarunner. ( I'm imagining a 70's 'Cuda???) Mine obviously isn't pristine as yours sounds to be but a nice piece none the less. It comes in at a full 13/16 so it's a good size blade. I did this one some time ago but have maybe a half dozen shaves on it. ( I have a decent size rotation) I've always had great shaves from this blade. While stropping it , it has a beautiful ring to it as it's a fairly thin blade. I'm not sure what else to say about it besides I really enjoy it, I'm fascinated by the "magnetic" monicker as I have a few labeled as such but it's a keeper.
I can't imagine selling an heirloom,, but then again,, I can't imagine selling any of my collection at this point.

    Beautiful work!

Now did you say that you actually made the acrylic itself also... Or just made the scales out of the acrylic?
