    Default Joseph Rodgers X2

I took a while for my dovo scales to come in the mail but I got these put together right away once they did. Can't wait to shave with them, I've never gotten to shave with any pre 1890's Sheffields before.Name: DSCN0079.jpg

Nice job on the pinning and getting the razors together. Let us know how your pre- 1980's shave went.

It didn't show up in my picture but the stamps read, "Joseph Rodgers and Sons Cutlers to their majesties No 6 Norfolk street, Sheffield." Unless I'm mistaken the lack of 'England' being after Sheffield places them in the pre 1891 age. I admit these were a pain to date other wise; I couldn't find anything specific to the markings. The one with the barber's notch is 1/4 hollow and the other is a wedge. If anyone can give me more precise dating of these razors that would be helpful because my research only pointed to them being made sometime pre 1891.

I sure like the one on the left, in particular.
