Thank you. The John Barber wedge is thick - Its almost a full wedge grind blade, and so the thinner the wedge, the more the blade sticks out when its closed. I like my blades to stick out as little as possible, which sometimes warrants a thick wedge. But when you're using ivory, its not such a bad thing :)Quote:

I just responded to you in the other thread about this thing too sashimi :) Its fun to shave with, typical sheffield steel... The wood is not all that heavy, but the wedge is almost half an ounce of sterling silver, so it helps the balance.
