Thanked: 0Hello, was wondering if anyone could help me ID this "bad boy".
Hello all,
let me start off by saying.. I have never used a straight razor. I am however interested in learning the art. I do not own a razor but I have stumbled across one of my grandpas.. if anyone has any clue what era this is from or what it even is, I would surly appreciate the time taken looking at these pictures. I'll start off by saying that I think its some type of "straight razor' tehe, thanks.
the package is a bit warn, and has some decay, I believe its labeled " somthing.. IO CUTLERY CO. the price at the time was $ 8. something..( please dont mind the shotty plastic fake wood finish in the back ground
Here it is in some of it glory, again that fake wood finish in the background really does the trick!.
Sorry about the glare..natural lighting may have been preferred, the blade to the spine has a slight engraving of General George Washington himself, the image and his name below, below that is a word I'm not sure of.
Here is that word from a different angle, again sorry about the blur.. this one may have been out of focus a bit.
Thanks for taking a look gents, if you need me to post any other pictures of certain angles or anything.. I would be more then willing. Again If anyone would be so kind to provide info on this piece, It would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-E
