Thanked: 2284Joseph Rodgers & sons in gloss micarta.
Just got in the mood to pin up a razor tonight. Its a Joseph Rodgers & sons 6/8's hollow ground in micarta scales that I decided to gloss up with polyurethane. The wedge is tagua nut and the pins are nickel silver and SS washers. Cant believe how well the micarta turned out, being able to just see the cloth lines through the polyurethane. I used an old pair of my black work pants for the micarta. Now I just need to hone it up and do a shave.
And once again my pictures are terrible.Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Looks good! I want to give making some micarta a shot at some point. I'm going to try to get a hold of some g10 and micarta to work with first, so I know what I'm working with.
Also, for the pictures, I've found if I can be in a well lit area (light from all sides) my pictures turn out better. Just something to play around with next time your taking pictures of your projects. Hope it helps!
