Thread: First restoration !!!

Hi All, this is my firs restoration as well as my first straight razor. The razor is made by Kelly of Liverpool, which I've picked up from ebay fro few quid. blade was in rather good condition, just cleaned it with 1200 grit emery (didn't have any lover grit, and I'm in university so money is bit tight sometimes) then used dremel with red rouge to polish it. it did ok but I've decided to invest in some lower grit paper and chromium oxide compound for a next razor I'm doing over Christmas. the scales were broken so decided to make some out of black buffalo horn, and wedge is solid brass and brass pins (is hard to get them in UK so I recommend Brad Maggard from forum) tell me what you think, any tips for shaving and honing are welcome.
