23/8 Straight Razor Huge Custom Cleaver Transformation
Good Evening Gentleman,
Here is a project that I have recently finished for our member ACE aka Warren. He approached me with an idea to create a very large display razor out of an old German Meat Cleaver. His only requirement was that it be very huge. I had a long winded thread going and lost it when my browser suddenly closed. Most likely for the best anyway. Save everyone from all that gobbledegook . hehehe. I will however give a few words. 23/8, 13 7/8 length, hollow ground and shave ready. Out of an incurable motivation to push the limits, I did shave with it but out of sheer exaustion finished upper lip and chin with my 10/8. How was the shave? No idea. To busy thinking about my next move, not to mention the blinding flash of the shine on each movement. I would agree that this one is best left for display but with that being said, the whole thing was down right exhilarating. Anyway this was a difficult and challenging build with the sheer size, unknown steel and taking it to shave ready. Special thanks to Warren for his initial vision and offering me creative freedom on this project.
Thanks for Looking !
Best Regards Kenny

Thanked: 247Well...It brings a smile to my face anyhow. You did an awesome job on it!
So I guess it'd be fair to say you won't be able to touch this one up with a regular barber hone?

That's so incredibly ridiculous and impractical, that it pushes the envelope into what I would call Art!
The lines are so clean, that, well, I love it lol!
Nice job!David
