Looks good, the grind seems to be very nice and even on it! Wish my first hollow grind would have been like that :P

IMHO the shave is out of this world!

During a recent hone trade, Daniel was kind enough to put one of his handcrafted razors in the box so I could test it for a couple of weeks.

Having never used a 'fixed western style' blade like this - or a kamisori for that matter - I wasn't quite sure what to expect...

Well, the very first stroke on my cheek was so smooth and effortless I thought it was a fluke. But by the fourth stroke though there was no question that it was going to be one of the most pleasant shaving experiences I've had in a long time. Granted, I did nick myself a bit under the jawline - but that was no fault of the razor, just me getting used to a fixed blade design.

I'm now have four shaves under my belt with the razor - and can say without a doubt I am really, really liking the shaves I get with this razor...

It cuts through my course beard with even greater ease than my favorite straights (a Filly 14, Palmera 14, and Max Sommer 'Estas' 14 - which is why it really caught me by surprise at first...) and provides one of the closest finishes I've ever experienced.

The razor was sent to me as a short 'loan' for testing - but I don't want to give it back. Am going to have to have a talk with Daniel about making it a permanent part of my collection...

Note the emphasis on "my blade"

No doubt about it, it is going back to FilarmonicaFreak. Bad luck John...
