Very unusual color, but well turned out, interesting.

If I'm not mistaken it's vulcanized fiber board. Basically resin impregnated construction paper of sorts. It's slightly heat resistant, moisture resistant, and chemical resistant, easy to shape and cut. Very versatile stuff, alot of the knife makers use it for liner and spacer material. Good job on the recycle and restore.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Thanked: 2I'm fairly convinced it's chopped strand GRP, but I wouldn't swear to it. I'm no expert. It certainly smells and works in a similar way.

You don't need those quotes around restoration. Looks pretty good.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
