Thanked: 13245Oldies but Goodies in Horn
Couple just coming off the bench..
The Greaves & Sons in Translucent Buffalo Horn, I used the original lead wedge Nickel Silver pins with SS washers.
The Hayles again with Translucent Buffalo Horn a Faux Ivory wedge and all Brass hardware..
Both razors were polished to a nice Satin finish.
Honing: Chosera 1k, Henckels 1-3-8 Select Coticule

I love test shaving these old stubies, they tend to be smooth as silk on the face...

Those are some fine looking Stubs, Glen. They made such nice heavy blades in that period, cut whisker with out making as much as a sound.

Thanked: 4249Love the horn scales and pins but especially love the fact that you left a satin finish and not mirror on these, Great work!

Thanked: 13245Yeah I am not a huge fan of real mirror finishes, some people request it, but really the razor decides more then anything...
