    Cool Oldies but Goodies in Horn

    Couple just coming off the bench..

    The Greaves & Sons in Translucent Buffalo Horn, I used the original lead wedge Nickel Silver pins with SS washers.


    The Hayles again with Translucent Buffalo Horn a Faux Ivory wedge and all Brass hardware..


    Both razors were polished to a nice Satin finish.

    Honing: Chosera 1k, Henckels 1-3-8 Select Coticule

    I love test shaving these old stubies, they tend to be smooth as silk on the face...

    Oh wow!!! those are super awesome Glen!!! I would agree with the silky smooth stubie shave. My John Barber is my number 1 razor. That Razor and I just get along!!

    Those are some fine looking Stubs, Glen. They made such nice heavy blades in that period, cut whisker with out making as much as a sound.

    Love the horn scales and pins but especially love the fact that you left a satin finish and not mirror on these, Great work!

    Yeah I am not a huge fan of real mirror finishes, some people request it, but really the razor decides more then anything...
