Default Custom 9/8 SC145 - Burl Arizona Ironwood

    Hi Guys !
My first straight razor with wood. A 9/8 in SC145 with hamon, 1/4 hollow. The scales are made in Arizona Ironwood (burl) and G10 liner.
    Thanks.

Nice work there Cedric. I'm really liking the hamon on your blades.

Nice look to the wood. The wood is a little dark for me to see the grain but very nice work as always.
What was the spacer made from? Same material?
And curious because I am not familiar with the wood but why the liner? Need or esthetics?

Very attractive Sir! I never would have guessed that those were your first wooden scales. I am going to have to start putting some coin in my piggy bank for a Ali's Blade

    Thank you all !

    aespo,
The grain, the surface of Ironwood Burl is special, like a damas steel very fine. It's difficult to show it in a picture.
The liner is here to reinforce the burl who is very hard, fragile and breakable. Yep, the spacer is in Ironwood too.

Love the burl. Reminds me of a nice pipe.
