Default My first smiler...saved from the scrap pile

A few months ago I alluded to a razor that I had finished but was awaiting scales. This one started life out as a big full hollow chopper, but after 3 bad grinding errors i salvaged this...a 6/8 swayback with a smile, my first. Smiling razors are hard for me to grind so I am going to leave them to the other guys. the scales are purple abalone vinyl sheet with an orange g10 wedge.

    As always, thanks for looking

    Bob,
That's a great looking series of errors. Wish I could mess up something like that!!
Seriously though, I really like it and it looks like it should be a superior shaver!! I like smilers, and I like those scales too!! I'd be very proud of that one!

    Regards,
    Howard

Those scales are amazing!!! They would look fantastic on any razor. I can't stop staring.

I whimpered when you said you'd leave the smiling blades to others. 'Very very handsome, and I bet its a razor to love for a long time.
