Thanked: 1Wade & Butcher- Celebrated Hollow Ground- French Tip Restore
I just got this razor back from a restore job by Brad Maggard. It is absolutely BEUTIFUL. I love the TI inspired, honey blonde, translucent scales; and how well it matches up with the French Tip blade,. It has a black horn wedge, lined with nickel silver sheeting, and the etching is incredibly deep....the whole thing is just eye candy!
I shaved with it this morning..... and although I got a BBS shave it was not very comfortable and I’m not sure why. I’m not blaming the blade (as I have only been Straight Razor shaving for 3 months) so I will have to experiment a bit to see if there is something I can pinpoint.
I welcome any feedback. Oh and I was wondering does anyone have an idea of the age of this blade?
Here are the before and after pics:

Wow that sure is a gorgeous razor, great scales. The smaller width french point blade is something different to see usually all the W&B's here are huge choppers with Barbers notches.
Aloha,
ED
