    Default Torrey in Lacewood

I haven't built a wood piece in some time so I made this one up today for tonight's shave.
The scales were removed and used on the Kibitz piece I recently did. And since I had to remove the "Our 136" from the blade because of the amount of pitting I figured I strayed from original and made up these scales. I polished up the blade, made up domed double stack washers , honed it and she's ready to go.

Thats a beautiful blade and those scales really bring the whole package together. Great finish and nicely done.

Very Very Nice!! Beautiful work! However after seeing what you do for a living, I'm not surprised!!!

What wood is it, and what if any stain did you use! Also what's the final finish that you used!

Glad you reused the original scales as they're great, your new scales are just gorgeous though!

    Thanks guys.
    This is Lacewood.
I always hang on to old scales and try to reuse them where I can. I love the old stuff.
