Default A few blade restores and custom scales

These are a few blades and scales I have been working on over the past month or so. Still working out the kinks. I do everything by hand. All blades are hand sanded and scales are formed with files and sand paper. Most finishes are CA glue or tung oil. Wood's are ebony, wenge, purpleheart, yellow heart, eucalyptus, mahogany, padouk, Cambodian rosewood and others. Thanks for taking a look. any and all feedback welcomed!!

I like that straight taper you are using on the square ended scales - like the frameback in the 2nd post. Well done on all of them. Love wood scales.

I love the bevel on the reddish brown scales at the bottom. Awesome work.

They all look great, but ill be honest i have a weakness for purpleheart and bloodwood. I can only hope that mine come out as well as yours have one of these days. I plan on trying to make my first set of scales in the very near future out of bloodwood to start. Then maybe tigerwood, honduran rosewood. Figure i have a few new antique store/flea market finds with broken scales so i cant keep them looking that way for long. Your work is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing

Thanks much folks. It means a lot to me that people like my work. I have only been working with wood for a few months and often doubt myself. so thanks for all the kind words!!!
