Default 4/8 Stainless "Rex" quick fixup

I got this little razor on Monday and I decided to fix it up right away so I could test it out

Doesn't look like a very smooth shaver, does it?

Here it is, ready to go. I basically just flattened the edge and then cut a new bevel. There are some marks from someone's earlier attempt at honing it up but nothing too scary. The scales and pins were nice and just needed to be cleaned up a bit. I did take the blade out and re-pin it just to check for gunk and it is as clean as a whistle. It is a near wedge and is very sharp, I can't wait to try it out

I love this post, it encourages me no end. Thank you for sharing !!
As a newbie, I like to see what's 'possible' with a razor that some would consider beyond resurrection.
    Salutations Sir !!
