This piece was interesting to do considering the scratches someone thoughtfully added to the etch. Took care of them and then made up some Honey Horn scales to match the originals.

That is one nice looking blade. Great restore job my friend. I'm having my W&B restored and was debating on the Honey Horn or Bocota scales. Thanks for sharing

That has to be the deepest etch I have seen on a masonic razor yet. Nice job that etching turned out very nice. Surprised at how clear you can see it. Love the scales.

Well done! and great work saving the original etching - the end result is a great restoration...and that is always harder than it looks..

VERY NICE !! that is the exact same etching on the masonic razor i have , i wonder if the razor manufacturers sent the razors out to a place that handled all the past masonic etchings from back in the day or if it was something the lodges all got together and sent razors in ...??

Not sure if it's the chicken or the egg, but I've seen this exact same etch on several other razors. Most recently a Wosty if I remember correctly. It too may be coming in for a resto.

mine is a R. Sutcliffe , i had to look under magnification to see all the detail in mine .. the job you have done is amazing !! i hope you get the other one so we can see it as well !!!
