5/8 Torrey in Bubinga
Well, I finally decided to actually KEEP a razor that I restored.
I chose this one! It's a 5/8 Half-hollow Torrey that I acquired from Brooksie.
The scales are a beautiful waterfall bubinga that was gifted to me from pixelfixed.
I cleaned up the blade, and left some minor imperfections. It's near mirror only.
The scales are finished in Mirrorcoat epoxy (awesome stuff!!).
Wedge is blue/black acetate.
Pins are brass with stacked SS and Brass.
Here's the porn!

It looks amazing! I can see why you'd want to keep it.

Thanked: 116I found this little gem of a razor locally and caught Matt trying to buy one on ebay. Since he's done so much for me I gave it to him in exchange for some work! That's two from me now eh Matt? Let me know how she shaves! I parted with my last one too soon!

Nice work, I like the very detailed wood.
I used to finish wood scales with CA glue but it is a very long process (at least 12 layers)... is it easier with mirrorcoat epoxy?
thanks
