Thumbs up None foldable purple beast

On the last Toronto meeting Eric aka epd gave me this razor.
He made it from O1 steel. I've never used none foldable razor before.
So I've took it to stones, finished it on Zulu Grey.
O1 and Zulu - crazy sharp edge as a result.

First shave was great. It is so comfortable to use and easy to maneuver
Only one downside it was quite slippery in my hand.
After I made a purple handle, second shave was awesome.

Thats a cool looking blade, and the purple wrap really seems to suit it. Nicely done and congrats.

How different is shaving with one of those vs a folding blade?

As you see on the picture, the blade has same grind as regular razor. It is not kamisori.
It shaves as regular razor, only difference in handling and balance.
Sometimes it much easier to reach those tricky spots.

Check out Eric's Scetto Straight Razor Works for more info, or you could ask him to make you one
