Cool Full Custom Restore FBU Wade & Butcher

This was a fun project I just finished up for Kevin, he sent a previously Restored FBU out, it had been "Dremeled" to a high polish.
You could see where the dremel had slipped and created some marks and a slight frown that I am getting ready to hone out now.. (I have the pics someplace)
The old scales had been cleaned and polished but the Bug bites were still there..

Kevin decided to go full blown restore, so I polished out the dingers in the blade faces from the dremel, and brought the finish back to a nice Gleaming Satin, the scales are new Black Buffalo horn with some very subtle Gray streaks in there.. The wedge is Brass along with all the hardware..

She is a full 8/8 + size, methinks I shall try the Chosera 1-5-10 progression then finish her with my Coticule, can't wait to try the shave with it

Fantastic restoration Glen, to me this is how a W&B probably looked coming out of the factory, no mirror finish, clean lines horn scales, So classy!
    Great work!

Spot on restoration. I'm loving the satin finish, its so appropriate; you see so many over polished mirrored blobs of steel are out there that people claim to be 'restored', when in fact they are ruined... This guy need not apply- looks perfect. The brass spacer goes with the streaked horn superb. Another winner Glen! Enjoy your shave Kevin. IMO these bad boys are some of the finest shavers out there.

That is an awesome looking razor.
Love the fact that you decided on new scales as these look impressive.
Going to have to find me a W&B big boy like this.

Nice one Glen. I'm also digging the finish on the blade, and love the wedge.
