    Default 1st Restore

I picked up a W&B wedge several months ago. It was rusted and pitted. I finally got the tools and equipment together to get rid of the rust and pitting. In addition, the original scales were cracked and not salvageable. Here's the final product. I took the blade through 120, 180, 240, 400 and 600 grit formax greaseless. Then I used black emery, brown Tripoli, white, blue, green and red compounds from caswell. I made the scales out of paduak and coated them with 3 coats of gloss poly spray.

Tomorrow I bring it to the hones and take it for a shave!
