W & B in Bone
Nice old W&B that was cleaned up. New scales in bone and reusing the old wedge. The double stamp on the tang creates a double image effect.

Good looking razor and great work as always.
Did the double stamp survive the restoration?

Yes it did. Fortunately there wasn't much pitting around the mark and only near the pivot hole and it survived just fine. It's gone now otherwise I'd post more photos.
This is the third I've come across with double stampings like this. It's not like finding a double stamped coin or stamp but I think they're neat for some reason.

I would tend to agree to the neat/cool factor of it that is why I asked if it survived.
I would put something like that into my personal collection on the double stamp alone, again great job on it,
I will always enjoy seeing the breath of life put back into these works of art.

Actually the double stamp is a defect. Normally members who have one of these send them to me for proper disposal to avoid tarnishing the pristine name of Wade & Butcher ....... it is in the rules somewhere ..... I have looked for it but can't seem to find it ..... must be in the fine print

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. Thank goodness it isn't mine! I'd hate to keep it around and have it infect some of mine.
