Default Krusius Brothers Royal Brand razor just picked up

This razor is in pretty good condition but there are lighter scratches on the blade. Any thoughts on how to take them out? I'm thinking i'd start by wet sanding by hand, maybe 2k/3k?

Any idea what the tang is made of on this? I've never seen a hybrid handle like this.

Any thoughts? Anyone familiar with this razor?

That's a nice looking razor. I like the yellow on black contract. I like the plane photo too. I think your hand sanding approach is a good place to start.

I think you need to step down to a much lower grit than 2k/3k, although it will not hurt to see if you have success with those. If I were you, I would start around the 400 grit.

Not to hi jack the thread but is it common to have the white/yellow tang cover and a black handle. I have an Ern that looks like that and I thought the handles had been replaced.
Thanks, and it is a nice looking razor.

Laurens, thank you, I'll give the 400 wet hand sanding a try.

GOGRAH, not sure either, but this one looks original. Can you post some pictures of your Ern? I'd like to see it.
