    Default DE Custom

Turned this on the lathe today. I picked 2 horns up at a garage sale with a pile of other stuff for $10 last year and finally got to spin a handle today out of one of the horns. I'm really pleased with the feathering and lines that showed up after sanding and giving it a good buffing. The other handle is made out of Palm I believe.....
The rings are made out of cherry, they are actually ear ring tunnels/plugs, made them for a younger relative of mine.

My understanding is wood, Horn, and antler is the better option as far as the stink. Plastics and metal apparently cause ear stank.

I think each generation has something they did. Hair styles, Ear ring's, Tattoo's, clothing
When I was growing up it was spiked hair (now I have no hair mullets, ear ring, punk, Skin heads......

Myself.......I was 12 when I got my ear pierced, by the time I was 20 I had 5 more, long hair, then a tattoo, then another (because you just can't have one, there addictive). 20 more years later and I'm bald, don't wear those ear ring's at all, the Tat's well can't do anything bout them. I shave with a straight razor and a DE (not at the same time) and Just got prescription glasses, trim nose hair, ear hair, and have lots of grey hair on my chin that my wife wants me to color......but I think that's to 80's

As far as tattoos go, I’ve never gotten one, my dad had three small ones and he always used to say that he wished he’d never gotten any of them!

I like what Jeff Foxworthy said: You will get old that dolphin is going to look like a Beluga whale and it’s going to be hard to tell your kids to say No to Drugs with a pot plant leaf on your neck! hehehe

I would be happy to make you a hand fishing spool if I can, even if you are joking! Sounds like a fun project! Are they about as big as a pop can? I see people fishing with Soda cans at the Hydro electric Dam that I work at.
