Default Dubl Duck, Shumate Barber Delight - both in Hippo Ivory

Edit: just realized, it is a "Barber Deluxe" not delight. Meh. Close enough...heh

I had a customer send me a couple razors along with half of a hippo tusk, with instruction to make a couple of pre-ban ivory scales.

I was very excited to work the material - and as I had expected, it was a pleasure. If anyone have any questions I'd be happy to answer.

The wedges are vintage lead wedges that I had accumulated from broken sets of scales and re-scales. I'll let the pics do the talking.

    Enjoy!

Very nice work. The blades look like they belong in those scales for sure.

wow that tusk looks absolutely beautiful with the warm glow only a natural material can show! The lead wedge and nickel silver pins match so well...

Those look great! How did you polish the ivory? Also, I can't tell if you used washers around the pins. Did you?
