    Default 8/8s & Titanium

Here is a blade that I finished up last week. The blade is 75 layers of 1095 & 15n20, the width is around 17/16s. The blade was forged to shape then ground. The scales are titanium they have been textured, heat colored, and hollowed out from the inside (to reduce weight). The titanium was a bear to work with not sure if I will do something like this again. it was a learning experience.

Beautifully done, Charlie! This is a blade that speaks to me!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

That beauty is one superb meeting of various metals emerging from your craftsmanship Charlie. That just has to be a great shaver.

Awesome Charlie...I'm with you on the titanium for scales, lot of work compared to others, but it sure does look cool!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Nice Charlie,
Very cool with the texture and heat color on the scales.

I am sorry to hear it may be a one off but I get it.
