It's a little hard to tell from looking at pics, but I like the idea of the polished tang with satin hollow.
I'm sure it would look awesome in the flesh.

I ran some youth hostels for a time and had the good fortune to meet some Aussies. One in particular had the habit of saying 'scary man' in that accent after almost everything he said. Pretty funny guy, say something like....every tourist had to go to Ayres Rock, scary man, and what do they do when they get there? Climb it, scary man.....well, you brought this 20 some year memory back because this razor looking 'awesome in the flesh' Scary man!

Nice clean lines, and the abalone really sets it off. Niiiice!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
