    Default 8/8s 1095 & Spalted Magnolia

Here is an 8/8s 1095 blade. It was forged to shape then ground. The blade was hardened with clay on the back to get the hamon or temper line. The scales are stabilized and dyed spalted magnolia.

Nice looking piece there Charlie. I always like those twisted tangs and the hamon goes well with the scales.

Excellent hammer work, and beautiful scales Charlie.

That is just amazing, always a pleasure to see your work. I don't know if it is just coincidence, but I seems as though the hamon is replicated in the grain of the scales.

The blend of all the color shades is simply beautiful. Another stunner Charlie.

Very nice razor. I'm not a fan of spalted woods, but I have to say I like those scales.
