Sub out tues for Sunday and is my shave day. Choose a razor( or the one I just honed), choose a strop and get in a shave hopefully with the time to take it slow. Best as poure une as apparently the majesty of seeing me lathered up stropping in the nick is a life altering experience
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed

I awoke on Tuesday morning in Washington DC/Georgetown at the Holiday Inn. My college room mate came to DC from Tucson for a week so I drove 250 miles north to spend a couple of days with him. His daughter just finished high school and was admitted to Georgetown on a full academic scholorship. Proud (happy) dad. you think? We've always kept in touch but hadn't seen one another for over 20 years. Tucson and Raleigh are not close.
Art of Shaving travel kit was a gift from a near-stranger. The cream is OK, the balm is greasy, the little brush/container excellent and I could do without their preshave. Must figure out how to squeeze Proraso gear into the slick leather carry-all. I found a lovely, nearly mint, decorative Wester Bros razor over in Rockville the day before. It was as sharp as a letter opener so I used the Brooksbank Sheffield. It was a good shave in spite of my first longer-than-a-nick nick. This was also my first shave away from the home sink - a little disorienting I guess. It was a great Tuesday morning, though, with a friend of over 40 years, a better day at the Air & Space Museum and a magnificent dinner later at Guapo's on Wisconsin Avenue. Conclusion - Ramon Allones Special Select cigar to close out the evening.

Well, my Tuesday shave this week was a delight. A 4/8 Spike (preferred size), MWF/glycerin drops, lather bowl kept warm on a small coffee warmer hotplate (just love the feel of very warm lather when I have to apply more). Three pass shave, avoiding goatee, alum block skin wakeup and Gold Bond Ultimate lotion. And then a long wait for my son (who lives next door, very handy at times) to get home from work to come over and complete my day by installing a new alternator in my 22 year old red wreck Mazda 323. Bought it 12 years ago and this id the first engine work needed. Day completed by finally being able to catch up on myriad errands and to think about tomorrow's shave. Slowly acquiring 14 razors for a two week rotation or whim of the moment different choice what what was in line. All in all a fulfilled Tuesday.
