    Hello Gentlemen,

I am going to be in Taz sometime around january, and wondered what your top tips were! Where is unmissable, where to avoid, and what all the insider tips are.

    Many thanks,

    Damian

Top tips. Don't go south of Queensland, there ain't anything worth seeing below the border .

Mick is generally correct there...but in all fairness the south west of tassie is good. Be prepared to hike for a few days or do a covert parachute drop. Get out in the forest and away from humanity. Just watch out for the Tigers..... and don't forget to take a map of tasmania with you..

ha, thanks guys. Yep I am looking forwards to getting away from the city and as you say just hiking for a couple of days! Unfortunately Queensland was a stretch too far both on budget and on time to be factored in.

You'll love it down there. A mate of mine spent a little time down that way and is longing to return there someday. His photographs were spectacular. I've not wandered any further south than Victoria myself. Never figured there was much past the Queensland border in that direction. And up until I saw those photo's of Tassie, I was definitely right .
