Thanked: 203Thanks Oz
Hi All,
just wanted to say thanks to Oz for his help and attitude.
i was working through some honing issues, and Oz gave me invaluable advice. Paricularly pertinent as in Australia we are a little more limited on available hones, and buying overseas subjects us to some pretty hefty shipping costs which does not help our HAD.
Oz never even considered suggesting different/extra hones, but opened my mind to some new ideas to experimenting techniques and mixes with my existing hones. This led to a new honing progression for me that has consistently produced the smoothest shaving edges i have produced on English, German, Swedish and American razors, at a much reduced time frame of work for each razor.
i know it has been said before, but the camaraderie and sharing of information, and good old Aussie mateship, keeps this the only internet forum i bother with.
So thanks Oz, and thanks everyone else here who shares information so willingly.
All the Best,
Adam.

Yup he had my vote when he helped me out with my first honing questions as well. Another thread in your favour Oz.

Just as well you included everyone else too Adam.
Our mates in other countries are, of course, helpful too & that's what SRP is all about.
Glad things have clicked for you.The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Glad you brothers help out down under. A displaced Aussie in Texas can relate.

I rest my case.

I must add thanks to Oz too.
A friend showed me his grandfathers then dads razor which had become a rego sticker remover. Oz gave me accurate advice on whether it could be restored, I worked on the sanding polishing, and then he honed it, repined and polished the scales. Great service and great rates.
His before and after. Thanks Oz for all your help.
