Default Where can I get some Olivewood ?

I've been looking for some olivewood for scale construction but Australia seems to be a bust.
Anyone down here have any suggestions ?

I really don't want to start buying salad servers to cut up, that would be too much !!
At the moment I want wood big and wide enough to rescale 6/8" and 7/8" razors....

Sorry can't help apart for raiding olive trees some where.
Jarrah or Tingling burls from down Pemberton way would be nice also?
I thing I have seen burls out towards Serpentine dam area, to far from me now but.

Thanks mate I've sent a query to the first link above to see if he can cut something 165mmm x 1/8"-1/4" thick.
We'll see what he says and I'll post his reply here. I'm also investigating your other link too, although I'm obsessed
with olivewood at the moment !!

You're right, we do have some stunning species of wood down here....

Perhaps you should be looking for Kingswood, walnut or American White oak.

Going by the price it must be very, very, very, very, special.

....and it's not even 10:00 yet.......

Hey, Harry. You might be better off slicing up blanks than heating the house. Beautiful wood seems to be bringing a premium when you sale it for making things. Have you looked at the prices on the internet. WOW is all I can say.
Also, bongo, check for seller named globalwoods on eBay. You might be impressed at his selection and prices.

LEt me know, I live in a vineyard area, full of olives, will be prunings but depends on what you want, plenty good for making scales.

Failing that, try Fremantle... Olive trees everywhere. I'm sure someone would let you take a branch, but there are plenty in public areas you could "prune" yourself

PM me man and I'll send them over.
