Thanked: 2209Good morning
I know it is now Saturday 10:24 AM here and Saturday 11:24 PM there. I looked it up in the Wikipedia!
Perth seems to be a very nice place to live but your seasons are backward! It is summer here!
Yes, I look forward to meeting James on Monday the 16th and maybe one more time before he departs to home. One thing I need to do is find out what things James wants to cover in the short time he will be here.
I am glad you guys got together. That is how all this starts and usually the small meets work the best.
It is impossible to get everyone together at the same time. A bunch of us here at SRP have tried that, but it does not work. So, just set your date, time & place and send out the PM/emails.
What has proven popular here in Minnesota is a razor scale making workshop. It started with 4 of us and now 2 more want to attend and I have yet to send out any invites to the local guys! The guys in California held a small informal meet and they made custom razor collars. When we have the bigger meets everyone wants to hone razors. At Charlie Lewis workshop we grind razors. The new guys need to learn stropping, beard prep, shaving technique and edge maintenance . The lesson I have learned is that people want to do things.
So that will be my focus here in Minnesota from now on.
Good luck to you guys,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Perth isnt terribly exciting, but nice enough, a touch hot over the summer months though.
I loaned james a couple of slate hones to try out, i think he may bring them with him, i also loaned him a gold dollar, just to get the idea of honing strokes before he tries it on his, i got the idea that edge maintenance is what he is keen to learn at the momentBread and water can so easily become tea and toast
