    Default Hart steel razors

A year or so ago, I saw and questioned the voracity of these US Hart steel Straight razors. I moved on and never ended up getting one. Well, Gentlemen, I withdraw any comment made re these razors.
I bought one from an Australian firm 'Shaverhut' who managed for unknown reasons cut the price in half. I bought a Hartsteel Polished Round point 7/8 straight razor for $208.00 - amazing! On the box it stated that it was 'shave ready' out of the box. I thought, 'Well here we go again, yet to see one that'll shave as is.'
1st thing I put it under magnification (400X) and bingo a hand finished honing revealing a set bevel, which was thumb pad sharp. This was the mythical hand honed shave ready straight razor, brand new!. Feel free to add your experiences with the Hart. For aussie viewers there are a few of these left at crazy low prices. Cheers Bob....By the way ...it shaved fine!

Nicely made razors. I really like the scales, one solid piece and lots of different choices to be had. The tang is a bit thick for me, but that's my biggest complaint! The steel is hard and takes a nice edge, and the fit and finish on my example was really good. So why are you posting about without sharing pictures?

    Yes, I'm a fan of mine. I've got a 6/8 round point and it's a wonderful shaver.

    If that's $AUD it's a bargain....

I'm a fan of the Heart Steel. They are great shavers and easy to maintain.
