    Default Kanayama Cordovan Strops

    Gents,
Been a bit of conversation re the various models of Kanayama strops. From my own inquiry, and acquiring a few of my own, I am wondering if any aussies have one in their kit, and if so, your thoughts on them. My experience with them is limited, but from what I've seen so far they are lovely to use. Does anyone have a source for them, and are they well priced. My position is I have enough, but others who want one may be interested. Cheers Bob

Rami, had a look at the link to japan-tool. They sell the #70000 for a massive $515 AUD (No stock), Fendrihan provide the same item for $345, AUD. similarly JNS sell their #80000 at $550 AUD. I have bought from Aframes, JNS and Fendrihan. Aframes advertised prices are for stock they don't have. And if you wish in this country to buy their only stocked item, the #10000 you will pay the $119 USD, plus $45 USD postage. Means the #10000 in Australia is a $200 strop with no suede. sure buy a piece of suede from JNS, $52 plus another $42 for postage, meaning the #10000 with a suede piece is more expensive than a #70000 from Fendrihan. So JNS are expensive, but have some stock, Aframes are cheapest but have no stock, and won't according to Takeshi Aoki for some months. Then Fendrihan, who use DHL worldwide, cost me $19 postage from Canada to Australia delivered in 5 days, for #70000 strops.
Japan Tool price for an #80000 Kanayama is $686.94. AUD. They too have no stock. Nearly $700 for a strop, give us a break..same product from Fendrihan $415 AUD.

Fair enough. I bought me 6300 from them for ~150 aud. and suede component for 105aud.
    Prices likely changed from then.
