Narrow Chinese hones in OZ
For you Aussies out there.
Went to Carba-Tec yesterday to get a Chinese polishing stone for a fellow member and lo and behold they had skinny ones in stock that were not advertised on their website. I haven't seen this size before so I'm assuming they're relatively new
The code is WSN-1 and they're only AU$15
They're about 8"x2"x1" and if you like narrower hones these are a bargain.
The DE blade in pic gives an idea for size. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Great find!! And for only $15 AUD??? That's just over $11 CAD, and even less is USD!!! That's crazy! Definitely worth the money, and a great looking stone at that. Congratz

They had the 6k, maybe 4k and 8k king stones at a specials table last time i was at the sydney shop a couple of weeks ago, prices were around $40 for 6k and 4k and can't quite remember the 8k price.
but i think it worked out cheaper for me to get the norton 4k/8k from lie nielsen.

The King 8K is AUD$149 which is the same price as the Norton 8K at Nielsens.
The Norton 4/8 combo is definitely cheaper & a better buy but I'd consider a small Belgian Blue & a Coticule as another option..
I think the Ardennes dealer had some discounted in the classifieds for SRP members. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
