Australian Shaving Supplies 2: Electric Boogaloo
I promised a good list of websites and locations of where us Australians can get our shaving stuff. I tend to keep my promises. Some of the descriptions were taken from the previous thread (with props to those who wrote them).
http://www.himage.com.au
Used to be a very expensive and limited store. Now has a lot of great things and is relatively cheap (in comparison). Also stocks Mama Bear soaps.
Men's Biz | Men's Skin Care and Shaving Products
An example of what we are used to here. Standard supply of shave items, higher price than normal.
Shaver City
Same as above.
Guys Grooming
This is for a laugh. Hope you guys in Perth enjoy your $58 straight shave! (It's now $60, they've gone up by $2!)
www.knivesaustralia.com.au
They stock a bunch of shaving stuff and are supposed to be nice people. Tell them Adam.G or MickR sent you. Why? Who knows.
Shave Shack
How can we not support our fellow SRP members.
The Razor Shop
A little bit pricey, but deserving of support since that useless Shaver Shop chain pushed him out of his bricks and morter shop
http://www.hgpottery.yolasite.com/hg-scuttles.php
Aussie hand made scuttles. Good reviews in other places and also have other lathering bowls.
Art of Man
Their stock isn't too bad, good selection of creams and soaps.
http://www.blokeystuff.com.au
A very disorganised site, but have cheaper Dovo strop paste and strops.
Faulding Shaving Cream Tube 75g - Chemist Warehouse
By itself I find this meh, but a pea sized drop into any lather a bit too wet makes it explode.
Carba-tec
have good prices on DMT's and Carbatec for C12k hones and other cool stuff.
Everten.com.au
Sells Kasumi stones (I use one, not very well though. Ask Oz) and DMT's.
pureman.com.au/
Another site that sells all the good stuff. Note that this is not a homosexual pornography site.
Japan Tool
Sells Natural and Artificial Japanese stones as well as traditional Japanese tools.
www.lie-nielsen.com.au
They sell Norton and Shapton Stones.
www.whichcolourbeads.com.au/
They sell Maas, search for it. What Reefer was doing on this bead site originally is anyones guess.
www.thesandpaperman.com.au/micromesh/
They sell micro mesh for you people who want to restore razors. Enjoy your sore thumbs.
www.sollevy.com.au/
Onimaru recommended these guys. They sell tobacco. What does tobacco have to do with Straight Shaving? Everything.
Once again, if you know of any other Australian Shaving suppliers, please post here and I will update the list when I can.
As for professional honers, just check the classifieds. They know their stuff.Last edited by Zidago; 06-05-2012 at 06:09 AM.

Thanked: 983I might also mention that the female half of the AKC, Joan, is a collecter and restorer of cut-throats. Keith most likely doesn't frown on the practice either .

FedoraEnforcer: I spent about 30 minutes too long looking at the Cigar shop & nothing to do with shaving. The website / link is Brilliant.Last edited by R33F; 08-15-2012 at 09:27 AM.

Thanked: 3RE: cigars.com.au
Trinidad Fundadores. Bringing back memories of a time when I use to indulge in Cigars with a lot more regularity than I do now. Had a Trinidad for my 40th a few months ago in Hawaii. Better than I remember from 5 years ago.
[sorry for the off topic]
again thanks for posting FE.
