Thanked: 0Feather Artists Club RG Razor
Im considering buying one of these, with 'artist club pro guard blades' and I'm curious as to what peoples opinions are on these. I have been told to beware with these as they can murder your face Additionally, any recommendations on where to get these IN Australia? So far I'm looking online and they seem a little hard to find. I was in Amsterdam when I first came across these, but the shop there wanted 300 euro... Cheers!

Hi Mate,
Welcome to the forum.
Have you ever shaved with a straight? If not I strongly recommend a traditional straight opposed to a replaceable blade as they are much more forgiving when starting out. when I first started I got a DOVO shavette which is similar to the razor your looking at. they will rip your face apart if you never used a straight before.

Thanked: 0Cheers for the reply
I should have added a little bit more info, I have shaved with a straight before. My first, a cheap 'sniper' from ebay and later a German Wilhelm Weber. Surprisingly blood free! (Although I've cut my fingers due to poor handeling..)
Call me lazy... But im sick of the stroping and thinking these replaceable's are an interesting option. I approach it with caution tho, as the lady in the razor shop in Amsterdam said even with past straight experience I should be afraid lol

Thanked: 983I may be shot down for asking this, but, why not just switch to a DE if you're think of going the way of disposable blades (and have a concern for possible disfigurement)?

There's a few threads on these. Here's one:
