Thanked: 983Wild Weather for Eastern Staters
How are we all faring with the weather? We've got some concerns with the water levels, but we should be good here, unless the creek busts it's banks. Haven't been out to check again, but I checked just on high tide and it looked like some of the lower grounders were in a spot of bother with the water. We're on slightly higher ground so it should be alright. The high wind and rain is a bit more of a concern.
Police have stopped all traffic closer to the waterfront due to flooding...All very exciting stuff, but like I say, only minor concerns for us. How is everyone else going? Anyone looking like they're gonna need to borrow a toothbrush?

Thanked: 203Hi MAte,
we are among the lucky ones. Me being Mei made sure we bought a house on higher ground. It is older, but brick and does not leak. pool and fish pond are overflowing and the garden and yard have some big pools of water the dog loves. No trees or telegraph poles near the house. Garage/workshop has all the outdoor and pool furniture in it. Truck and car outside just after i waxed the car and spent three days cutting back, polishing and waxing the truck.
Obviously if that is all i have to complain about then we are a world better off than a lot of poor souls. i hope they are wise enough to stay safe and realise that lives are the only truly irreplaceable things they have.
Hope you stay safe too Mate and that your folks and their property are okay as well.

Thanked: 3All the best with the floods Queenslanders, and fires New South Welshmen. Like Mick offered in this thread, if there is something that I can do to help, let me know. I'm on a pushie between the 4th-22nd of Feb, but I'm sure I can send up a care package if someone needs one, providing it can be delivered considering the weather conditions.
Alternatively, if you just want to have a massive whinge and get all of the stuff you are going through off of you chest, then go for it.

Well Sydney's been lucky so far. Lottsa rain & gusts up to 70 kmh or so but even had sun this morning. Gone now but supposed to clear up this evening.

I am a skipper on a boat in Airlie Beach. We were hit hard and 30 vessels were lost.
I am OK.
