Default Honing 7th April - Bentleigh Vic

I've been working with about half a dozen individuals from the forum with regards to giving them some pointers and demonstrations on honing so I thought I'd throw it open to the wider Melbourne community.

I'll kick it off at about 1:30pm and run through until around 6pm. I'll set up on the outdoor dining table which is well under cover and reasonably sheltered but dress accordingly.
If anyone is interested, drop me a PM and we can work out the logistics.
I've got hones and plenty of razors so don't feel shy about coming for a look even if you're not looking at honing yourself at the moment.

ps: If you're alergic to cigar smoke then this might not be for you.

Thanks again for your honing pointers John, I'm about to test out that Crown and Sword now. I will let you know how it goes =]

It was good meeting you guys, i left with far more knowledge than i arrived with, thanks again for organizing this John.
And thanks to Ian for honing up a couple of mine that i brought along.
Now i have a starting point for honing my own.
I really hope i did a decent enough job on the finishing on yours John, i doubt they'll shave as close as when you do the finishing, but it was good practice for me nonetheless

    Cheers,
    Paul

That photo made me laugh: the basket and bright colours remind me of laundry and then the whole picture turns into three (wo)men scrubbing stains out of their clothes :P

It was a great afternoon. You're all more than welcome for any help I was able to provide. I'm always happy to pass on any tips I've learnt along the way.
