Because I thought you were under the impression that it was full of the countries original inhabitants, with a set of laws based on justice, equal rights for the sexes, had highly evolved social skills, could churn out beautiful jewellery, fought like demons when pushed to the point where even one woman could wipe out Romans by the dozens when pissed off, could outshoot everyone else around for miles, and were, in general, a really nice bunch of blokes (and ladies)...I didn't realise you meant to say England

No Ed, just replying with a bit of overkill. After all if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. I don't get hot under the collar. I wear T-shirts.

Did the same myself the other day in an email, got taken as a rant too. When the time presents itself can be nice be more wordy than is really required to respond to the original message.

You'll know when I'm ranting. It won't have a single one of these face thingies in the post...Unless one of those face thingies isn't really called for, which would be really face thingy, because it means there was nothing to at in the post. And I like to ...

While putting my zombie costume away (dont ask) I found this outfit, I know it courted quite a few comments, and have found that it has two, yes two hats, so it can do double duty at Christmas as well, though I would roast in it.

Yes, well imagine how I felt after writing a whole story in smileys, only to have to delete a heap of them and add words instead, before deciding to just break it down into two posts, which I should have done in the first place...except more than two posts...Which may have been just a bit confusing now that I think about it...
