Very cool, Mike!
Indeed, the oil was covering the lower unit and I found that every plastic hose clamp on the fuel system had cracked in half.
The VRO connections were bleeding oil slowly and leaking out. I really suspect the carbs and motor might be full of oil.
I can turn it over by hand so that's a good sign. Lots of rubber hose will have to go.
What do you use for clamps, Mike?
Spent 2 hours yesterday getting the 2 fuel tank's valves working right, Some stuck stuff. Patience got them free.
Wires are great. No signs of mice or dobbers. I had an old Ranger with a 70 so it's all coming back to me.

Mostly we use radius, zip ties. Those plastic squeeze clamps used by OMC, suck arse.
I like Oediker clamps, best.Mike

Thanked: 4826I always drive company boats. I haven’t had one for a very long time. I do like to see others out having fun and being safe.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

You'd have a stroke, if you've seen what I've seen, on the water. Boat traffic can be sooo thick on some of our lakes, you'd almost expect serious accidents every weekend.
The lack of respect to others trying to fish is unfathomable. I've left many of weighted treble hooks in the sundecks and furniture of those persisting to run to close to me.Mike

That's not a canoe, its a troller. Its so cool, even better if it had a mast, a few shields down the gunwales, Led Zeppelin, blaring.
Hell yes.!
