I think you all seem quite happy and distinguished! I need a pipe. Can toss the cigs!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

We'd be proud to have you on our team Sharps (and you'd maybe end up preferring a pipe to cigs - I did). Entry fee is about $14 (Missouri Meerschaum Legend corncob pipe, a pouch of Carter Hall, a pipe tool and a bag of pipecleaners). No charge for the people who smile at you and say, "Yum. That smells really good. Reminds me of [whatever]." A pipe is very nice.

Couldn't resist posting this one for all you pipe smokers...
Here's a pic of me when I was a bit younger and enjoyed a little 'home blend' now and then....

I was going to post a pic of me with an old pipe in my mouth, not smoking as the habit never took hold 35 years ago. What I remembered was a long stemmed pipe I bought at an Irish import shop in Toronto those many years ago. I saw it not too long ago in a box with some archery and shooting odds and ends that I had similarly lost interest in so many years ago, buried in the clutter in my garage. I decided to dig it out for the pic and was very surprised to find four pipes, three of which I had completely forgot about.
Sadly, the long one has a crack where the mouthpiece attaches to the brier. The mouthpieces are all a little browned and the bowls a little scratched or have had some sort of finish lost on one of them. I'd guess the same sort of approach as razor scales would appropriate, finishing with some renwax maybe, if I were so inclined.
I guess I could put them in the classifieds under miscellaneous.
As someone suggested here, PAD. I can see my predisposition for RAD and TAD (tool acquisition). Considering the short time I smoked... sheesh.Last edited by Hart; 08-08-2015 at 10:53 PM.

Here's an oldie. I'd thought I'd lost it, but I discovered it elsewhere on the forum.
