Gentlemen, here is my humble Armed Forces service:
Combat correspondent, U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division, Vietnam, 1967-1968.
Sept 70-June 73. Army Field Medic. 41st Surgical MUST unit. E-4 twice.
I never served but both my father and two older brothers served. All in the Army.
Father in the early 80's stationed in Germany 101st infantry
Eldest brother 2007-2012 E-4 82nd airborne infantry, two tours in Iraq
Middle brother 2005-2013 E-6 101st infantry 1 tour in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan. Purple heart.
I have respect for the military and those who have served and who still do.
Thank you to all. Seriously
Sniper-USMC 3rd and 2nd Force Recon 1994-1998.
Cadet and SGT 49th Infantry Brigade while attending college 1998-2000.
Infantry Officer, 3rd Infantry Division, 2000-2004.
US Army Counter Intelligence-Defence Intelligence Agency 2004-present.
Have been involved in pretty much everything since I came in. Panama, Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Somalia, gas attack in Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Egypt and a few other places. Hit my 20 year mark in 5 months. I know I'll be staying at least 2 more years and hit Lieutenant Colonel. Retired at 43 won't be too bad since everything I have including my house is paid for. I figure I can live off $4500 a month retirement plus my savings and just get a job doin something fun, like selling classic cars or security guard at the Playboy Mansion.
U.S. Navy Masterchief Petty Officer. 23 years service. Retired 1993
HAL-3 Seawolves - Binh Thuy, Viet Nam 71-72. You feel old when you see your old squadron on the History Channel.
U.S. Army Sergeant First Class (waiting on the board do I can change it to Master Sergeant hopefully) serving since '98 and still goin' strong.
Duty Stations -
Camp Gary Owens, Korea (some may know it as Camp Pelham) with the 4/7 Cav
