Great Grandfather - Coldstream Guards 1906 (if I recall he was a boy soldier) - 1921. Fought in The Somme and was pensioned out in 1921 due to injuries sustained.
Grandfather - Royal Marines - 1940 - 1947. He didn't talk much about it but I know he was in Burma for a spell.
Skipped my dad's generation due to my grandfathers views on what he wanted for his children after seeing war.
Me - Royal Regiment of Artillery - 2000 - 2007. Oman and Iraq.
