United States Marine Corps - 1974 - 2000 26 yrs Active Duty. - Retired SgtMaj.
There were many days that were exceptionally rewarding, many days that weren't so good, and some days where I stood up and asked God to come and get me. Fortunately throughout all of this, I survived and only lost most of my hearing. There are many that I remember who were not so fortunate and they are my true heroes. I miss the spirit of the Marine Corps, just not the bullshit and politics that most of us had to endure!
They need to erect a statue to my wife who stuck with me through the thick and thin. She is the one I admire most!Semper Fi !

United States Marine Corps - 1982 - 1986.
MOS - 6413 - Avionics Technician - I fixed FM radios, automatic direction finders, and PRC90's on CH-46's, CH-53's, and OV-10's. Part of HMS-16, MAG-16, 3rd MAW in Tustin, CA (home of the giant WWII blimp hangers) with is now closed. Sadly the spot where I worked is now a Lowe's parking lot.

I love that picture! It reminds me of the greatest time of my life! I spent most of my time between 2nd MAW Cherry Point, NC and New River Air station, NC (15 years). The last 10 years that I spent in the Marines wast at the Pentagon in DC. More political than anything.
