Thanked: 6My yard is in the middle of what used to be a cattle field. I don't know what type of grass it is, but it's whatever the cows ate. What I do know is that it's tuff as hell! I have to sharpen my mower blades at least once a year, and still have to ride over it slow, and that's with a 25hp Kawasaki engine. But, I mowed for the last time here in Ky just a couple weeks ago. It has stopped growing.

Well I'm back at it.
The lawn is looking good. A bit patchy but that should fix itself.
Did the soil test again this spring and have been feeding the young grass as per recommendations.
If i can get it through the heat of the summer this year, I think things should be good for the long term.
