Ice cream portion size
So, I've been in this country (the U.S. of A.) for quite some time but still have managed somehow to keep my girlish figure despite the little indulgences...
I just had me some ice cream and when I was done half of the pint was gone (if it weren't so sweet I'd have kept going). According to the label on the jar I've had two servings.
So, that got me thinking - that really isn't unusual for me - considering my shopping habits it seems that lately I've been going through three-four pints a week.
Now, what is your 'serving' of ice cream? (I just need to know whose dinner invitations are worthy of consideration.)

About the same as yours, but my figure is more "matronly" than girlish.

I have ice cream, mostly during the summer months, nearly every night after dinner when I get that last hunger craving of the night. I throw 3 full scoops of ice cream in a bowl and depending my mood top it with chocolate or caramel syrup. I use a 3oz Zeroll ice scoop. That's just over 1/2 a pint.

Speaking of toppings you know what I do when I want to be a bit more civilized than just picking up a spoon and digging in?
Put the 'portion' of good vanilla ice cream (I like the Haagen-Dazs or Talenti) on a plate, swirl some nutella over it, pour a good splash or two of xo cognac and top it up with three raspberries and a mint leaf or two
The way I see it it covers all the bases - ice cream for the child in me, chocolate for the hidden girl, cognac for the adult, greenery for nutrition, and vitamin C to make it extra healthy

I have been known to have a very large portion so I have lately been buying ice cream bars in an attempt to control portion size. Not as good as that from a pint but helps to reduce how much I eat.

When's dinner? Hell, skip dinner, when's dessert? Unfortunately I can only dream of the full pints of chocolate ice cream topped with chocolate syrup I used to devour. Age, weight and keeping myself at an A1c of 5.6 has taken precedence. Hell is when life says "Gotcha!". I'll just keep sipping my limeade sweetened with Stevia and dream of an ice cold bowl of nirvana.

When I purchase ice cream, I purchase a pint only...typically I will eat 1/3 of a pint on average at a sitting...straight from the pint.
My favorite indulgence is Haagen Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond....ingredients are simply..cream, skim milk, sugar, skim milk (lactose reduced), corn syrup, chocolate coated almonds (sugar, almonds, chocolate, cocoa butter), egg yolks, salt, vanilla extractMike

Thanked: 4826How much ice cream I have in a serving depends on how big the slice of pie is

On a light day, I fill a typical cereal bowl,,,, when I feel like a little extra, I fill a mixing bowl,,,
Nothing like vanilla ice cream mixed with a bag of LifeSaver Gummies,,,,
