    Default Zodiac and Waterbury

Just found out that the Zodiac Watch Company, now owned by Fossil is bringing back the Zodiac Sea Wolf. This was origionally a divers watch sold largely in Mililtary PX's back in the 60's. They were very popular with the UDT Teams and Navy Seals.
The watch is due out in 2015 and will be followed by the Super Seawolf later in the year. Watch Time magazine, October issue has an article and Zodiac has a Facebook page.

Also Timex is celebrating 100 years with a Special Edition watch called the Waterbury which sells for about 100 bucks.

Prices on the Zodiacs are not known at this time.

Zodiac also made a Super Seawolf with what was known as the Buzzsaw case. That was one heavy duty watch.

I getting in line. Missed out on them in the 60's. so now 50 years later i can get my Seawolf.

I am the ultimate watch killer. However over time I have found a few brands and classes of watches that can actually survive for multiple years. I am intrigued by the Zodiac Seawolf I think it requires a little research on my part

The first thing you need to realize is Zodiac totally went out of business many years ago. Fossil merely bought the name to give them some cred as a more serious watch maker. When you buy one of these watches you just need to realize you are not getting the real deal. It may very well be a quality piece but it's the same as all the other brands that have been reinvented like Blancpain, and Hamilton and Ball.

I bought a Zodiac orbiter back around 1970 when I was in the Navy. I still have it and it runs great.

Timex is owned by a German outfit who also bought the name when Timex went under years ago and some of their new offerings are really quite nice. A rare instance where the new ones are better than the original. ones.
