Been playing guitar for more than 30 years here. My main axe is a Thomas Fredholm (classical nylon string), but I have more than 15 others (strats, takamine, taylor, etc...). For amps I have a Trace Acoustic, and a Mesa Boogie Mark II (with EQ). I play professionally, and teach classical guitar at Universtity. I can play anything else that has frets and strings and a bit of piano.
AND I couldn't post this today and not say: Happy birthday Mr. Page!!!!

I've been playing off and on for 38 years. I have two electric guitars, a Carvin DC127 and a Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan signature Strat. I also have an older Takamine 12-string that I have had since around 1977 or so. I also play 5-string banjo but I recently sold my Ibanez Artist banjo as I didn't play it anymore.
My son is a Drill Instructor in the United States Marine Corps at Parris Island, SC

Thanked: 2I started playing classical guitar 9 years ago, and played for two years before my teacher moved, forcing me to find a new teacher at which point I picked up electric guitar. A year later I picked up classical guitar again. Unfortunately I've not really played either in about 9 months - school exams and university have got in the way. In total, I've got 8 years classical playing and 7 years electric, mainly rock. I've got a Squire Strat - I was going to upgrade to a Fender when I started playing less and it was evident there was little point doing so - and I can't remember what my classical guitar is - I'd look if it wasn't 5 hours away back at home. I've got a small 15W app at uni with me, and a 50W Marshall amp at home. I don't play any other instruments, but my brother plays the drums, so I did try them at one point.

I have been playing about 30 years. I have been building guitars for 7 or 8 years, and don't play anything electric that I do not build myself. I am planning to branch out to building acoustics sometime this year.
This has been my main guitar for the past couple of years.
Here is a link to some of my other creations.

And a link to a photo album of my current build in progress. I had to stop working on this for a long time, because I had too much repair work, as well as there were some family health issues to take care of. I am waiting now for the weather to warm up just a bit, and then I will flat sand the finish and buff it out, then assemble and set up. There are a ton of pics here, so take a look if you want. If not, I understand.

I started at the age of 30, turned 52 yesterday. I play bluegrass only. I have 2 Martins, a 1949 D-18 and a 2004 Golden Era D-18. The Golden Era series of guitars is awesome. It cuts the old 49 in half.
